I agree. Their material are just really great and very practical. In fact, those that i have read are for free too from subscribing them.

Ha. I am trying to get knowledgeable so I can steer my clients in the right direction. I understand the basics of keyword research, and really only offer to get their architecture in order. Anyone know of good articles for businesses that want to do basic SEO - or is there such a thing.

Your SEO site doesn't need a spring clean, it should just be deleted.

I was a member of Stompernet for a month, (got it free) and the amount of information inside was mind boggling. I probably spent 5 hours a day trying to cram it inside my head before the month was up. Great info and worth the money.

It's unfortunate that there isn't an endless amount of free info out there on the net for SEO efforts. I've personally been remiss to use many of the online training guides, but I'll definitely give consideration to Stompernet.

In the mean time, I think there's plenty of free info out there on the subject to piece together an excellent campaign.

Adding a short paragraph explaining that information is dated, and pointing to new information isn't going to have a negative effect on SERPs. Rewriting the article might potentially, but in many cases unlikely. A redirect is a little more risky, but combining multiple articles into a fresh article covering all topics, and playing with redirects might be the best solution and might gain rankings.
Think about your internal link building.

Yes, I agree about there being too much info on Stompernet and SEO is a tough concept to grasp to quickly, my style is to go at it little by little, you learn a thing or two at a time and well.. this causes me to rework pages a lot but SEO takes a while.. but it is good for those that are willing to go through the work.

Stompernet rocks and there is no denying it. It is however SOOO information packed that you can quickly get an info overload if you're not careful (I've done that twice).

The way they present it is very clear and to the point but the amount of information is so massive that you will need to take a little at a time in order to be able to implement it and put it to good use.

For WordPress users, there is a related posts plug-in (MicroKid's Related Post I think) that allows older related articles to be linked to newer ones. I think that updating an older post with the link to newer information is a good thing, over just redirecting it to a new article, that way you can see a history of archives with information. Seeing that the blogger has written about it in the past, and has now continued research in updating the article shows their authority and knowledge on the subject is being nurtured as new techniques arise.

Yes, I agree that I should put more work into the landing pages, more content and so on. There is a “but”. I prefer to work on the engine that has taken now 2 years of my development time (not full time). I just want to finish this beast and launch a beta. My idée was just to make a simple (lean) page for registration for SEOs that are interested of the free offer. There are always a few that will register and that way there will be a small community active from the start. I believe that this will promote itself when it’s ready. So my goal is to focus on a quality of the service then promotion and SEO at the moment. I believe that over the years it will get its attention.

If you have suggestions you are welcome to comment more specific what you have in mind. I’m always open for suggestions :-) if it will not cost me to much time. You can even write a small article on what could be done better and let people comment on that. By the way I ask SEO’s for review of seo.net at http://www.sitepoint.com/fo... . You are also welcome to comment there.

Great post. I have been very happy with the Stompernet products and information especially The NET Effect Journal. I think that they put together fantastic training information. If you ever get the chance to go to their live events do! But for that you need to be a member of their full Stompernet $800 per month membership... which is closed right now... or you need to know someone who might invite you as a guest :)

There are a couple of other sneaky ways to get invited by Stompernet which I might talk about on my blog soon! Because I am going to make a post about my first Stompernet Live event StomperLive7 in Atlanta March 6-8th 2009. It was fantastic.

You are correct Sir! I have to say I “LOVE” Stomper Net. I get both Net Effects and Stomper net. I am up to Issue # 5 of Stomper Net Insiders DVD of the Month and I have done so much to build several webpage’s and blogs and get them all on the first page of Google. I have been doing SEO for 10 years and I own 22 websites, all are on the first page of the search engines. I have to say even though a lot of what Stomper net had to offer me I knew, there was a lot of new information I didn’t. I think it was the best money I have spent on internet marketing and SEO I could have shelled out. Get It!
