That's incredibly odd to me considering the fact that social bookmarking is extensively dependent on links without the linking aspect, there's no way to do the bookmarking. If I log in and look at my friends links, I can't use them to get the pages they were raving about. How silly is that? I think that the social bookmarking sites deserve credit for getting users to participate in their service and bookmark links through said service, don't you? On that same token, do you think it's fair that your blog should be given the opportunity to get the higher google rankings based on linking when other services and blogs are not afforded the same opportunity due to the nofollow rules of many sites and links?
